| A Muscular Murder Mystery |
| David Bieber was a body builder and personal trainer in Lee County, Fla. In the mid nineties he got caught up in a romantic triangle with two other body builders.
Police say Bieber's friend, Markus Mueller, was married, but having an affair with Danielle Labelle, a woman he met at Gold's Gym in Bonita Springs, Florida. Labelle hoped Mueller would leave his wife and marry her. After he refused to leave his wife, police say Labelle began an affair with David Bieber.
As the relationship between Labelle and Bieber continued, Mueller became angry and confronted Bieber. Danielle Labelle then married David Bieber and the marriage led to an argument between the bodybuilders over Labelle. Police say David Bieber gave $1,000 to a friend to hire a hitman to kill Mueller. Mueller was shot and killed at his home on February 9, 1995.
Police say Bieber found it so easy to kill that he decided to have a former girlfriend murdered. Cops say the hitman was hired a second time. But this time the hitman missed his intended target four times on August 4, 1995. Police learned of the murder plots through confidential contacts and issued warrants for David Bieber on Oct. 12, 1995. |
